Downtown Boston Election Polling Locations

Election Day Voting is Open 7am-8pm

Precincts are the building blocks of the districts for our elected representatives at all levels of government, and also determine your election-day polling location for in-person voting if you choose not to vote early or by mail.

Early Voting Locations In & Around Downtown

You don’t have to vote at your usual polling location,
you can vote early at any convenient location
when it’s open

Early In-Person Voting Ends Friday, November 1st

You can also vote on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th at your assigned polling location.

Vote by Mail / Drop Box

Deadline to Apply: Tuesday, October 29th at 5pm

  • Available to everyone, unlike absentee ballots

  • Apply online, by mail, by fax, or in-person at City Hall

  • You likely have your mail-in ballot already if you applied

  • Drop Boxes at City Hall (Congress St entrance & 3rd Floor entrance)

  • Return ASAP; must be received by Tuesday, November 5th at 8pm
